President
Nich Wilson brings a strong background in building and growing businesses in emerging industries. His expertise lies in developing partnerships, creating new opportunities, and bringing people together to achieve shared goals. Nich thrives when working with teams to navigate challenges and identify practical solutions. He especially enjoys working in the animal health and human nutrition areas of KND’s business, where he finds the passion and innovation of both sectors inspiring. Outside of work, Nich enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children. He has a deep passion for the outdoors, whether it's camping, fishing, or skiing, and is just as likely to be on a mountain slope as around a campfire with his family.
Kevin Kirkpatrick
CEO
As CEO of KND Labs, Kevin Kirkpatrick oversees the company’s internal operations, research and development, and provides strategic operational guidance to drive success across the CBD and cannabinoid ingredient sectors. A natural problem solver, Kevin is deeply involved in formulation strategy and manufacturing execution — supporting R&D initiatives that help new clients bring innovative products to market. He thrives in collaborative environments and excels at aligning cross-functional teams to deliver complex, large-scale product solutions. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys spending time outdoors, especially skiing and staying active with his family.
Dave Swanwick (Swany)
SVP Sales and Business Development
Dave Swanwick, better known as “Swany,” is KND’s SVP of Sales and Business Development. His expertise lies in supporting client needs and driving innovative initiatives that bring real results. Swany thrives when working collaboratively with KND’s team to deliver large-scale product solutions to clients across the industry. Outside of work, he’s passionate about skiing and outdoor adventures and enjoys spending time supporting his kids in their athletic interests, including skiing and lacrosse.
Courtlandt Pennell
VP National Sales - Specialty and Animal
Courtlandt Pennell serves as VP of National Sales, with a focus on Specialty and Animal Products. With over 30 years of experience in sales and production, he understands the importance of grasping the full scope of a client's project to ensure accurate execution. Known for his thoughtful approach, Courtlandt is skilled at asking the right questions and thrives in problem-solving and logistics. He finds great satisfaction in helping clients bring conceptual ideas to life and seeing the final product, knowing the foundational work it took to get there. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, often backcountry skiing, biking, or stacking wood, typically with his dog by his side.

Sean Cole is a Sales Associate focused on specialty ingredient sourcing. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him on the slopes, as skiing is one of his favorite ways to unwind.

As KND’s Sales & Marketing Systems Manager, Amelia Berlandi blends top-tier client support with behind-the-scenes systems development that enhances project management and strengthens fulfillment operations. She thrives in fast-paced environments that demand organization and cross-department communication to ensure seamless delivery. Outside of work, Amelia enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, and crafting. A native New Yorker, she’s embraced life in the Rocky Mountains and enjoys exploring the region’s natural beauty.

GMP Operations Manager
Steve Alo is KND’s GMP Operations Manager, where he applies a strategic lens to every business challenge. His expertise spans process optimization, automation, and data management, helping improve efficiency across operations. Steve thrives in complex scenarios that require end-to-end solutions, particularly in operations, accounting, process validation, and inventory control. He’s passionate about continuous growth and enjoys learning new skills through self-research and hands-on DIY projects. Ashley Betts brings deep expertise in custom formulation development, whether reverse-engineering an existing product or creating a new formulation from the ground up. He thrives in collaborative, innovation-driven partnerships where ideas are transformed into tangible, high-performing products. Ashley works closely with clients to ensure each formulation aligns with their vision and delivers consistent results in production and in-market. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring Colorado through camping, hiking, and spending time outdoors with his husky.
